I am sad and lonely today. (boo hoo for me)
My hubby's been away for a week now, and with 9 more sleeps to go. I am reallllly missing him.
The first few days were ok, 'cause I know he's coming back, but then I got a bad cold and that kept me inside - all - by - myself.
Don't get me wrong; I value my alone time, but ah! too much, too much! (and too much studying to boot-I've got a tight deadline) I know if I could get out and do some stuff, I wouldn't feel so lonely, so this next week I am keeping myself very busy. Studying, yes (ick), but also Christmas baking, working on organizing my sister Kay, getting my hair did, having 2/3 sisters over to make (& eat) fresh pasta and watch a chick flick. (Yea for girl time!) Then it'll be doing the cleaning that I let slide since the hubby wasn't home to notice :) and making him a special dinner which he may or may not be too tired to eat when he finally arrives.
Hopefully I'll also be able to start running again. I started a 5km training program (love Nike+Ipod!) and had totally impressed myself that I'd actually be able to run as much as 8km!
Before starting the program, the most I had run non stop was like 2.5km - & I felt like that was a real push -ha! I was 4.5 weeks through the program when this cold hit and my lungs are still not back to normal. With the cold weather, I'll have to be better before I start it up again - cause I'm addicted to air.
Hm. I feel much better. That was very therapeutic. Thanks for being such a great listener!
I used to (used to being key here) easily run 9-10 miles. Unfortunately when we moved to the city I discovered that running on concrete sidewalks was very bad for my knees. Bye bye running. (too lazy to DRIVE to a trail. seems pointless)
ReplyDeleteJust think, the days will pass whether you whine or not, so if it's what feels good at the moment, whine (wine) away. But enjoy the baking and sisters.
ps, what is 2/3 of a sister? ;)
LOL
ReplyDeleteI have 3 sisters. I'm getting together with 2 of them (2 out of 3 sisters:)
